Jaclyn Rice first developed an interest in writing during a grade nine English class at school. She would finish assignments early and do extra projects in order to gain meaningful and productive insight from her teachers. She soon realized that her love of writing was more than just that. She wanted to pursue it but had no idea where to start. At the age of seventeen, she had started to listen to music more frequently, and keep a journal of her favourite quotes and personal thoughts. This love of music and writing turned into an interest in both song writing and music composition which encouraged her to learn acoustic guitar and perfect her vocal techniques. Over-time, she began to develop a sense of her own style and what feelings she would strive to elicit from her listeners and readers alike. She continues to work on other novels daily, and hopes to publish more sometime in the near future.
