Whereas the focus is usually only on the men, Tariq Zaidi has also photographed women and children,<BR>- Documentry on the subject from 2015: The Congo Dandies: living in poverty and spending a fortune to look like a million dollars<BR>- Tariq Zaidi was a winner of PDN Photo Annual 2018 (Photojournalism/Documentary Category)<BR>- First Place - Portrait Series - Pictures of the Year Competition POY77<BR>- He was also awarded "The Marty Forscher Fellowship Fund" for outstanding achievement in Humanistic Photography, presented by Parsons School of Design, USA.<BR>- Zaidi has been exhibited internationally and his work has been featured in many well-known magazines and newspapers, such as National Geographic, PDN, Los Angeles Times, Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, Vogue, Times of London, The Guardian and many more.<BR>- His work is represented by Zuma Press (USA), Caters News Agency (UK) and Getty Images (UK).<BR>- The first noteworthy photobook about Sapeurs was in 2009: "Gentlemen of Bacongo" by Daniele Tamagni (Trolley Books)
