Susan Cain studierte an der Harvard Law School und der Princeton University und arbeitete danach als Anwältin für Körperschaftsrecht in einem Wall-Street-Unternehmen, wo sie Kunden wie Goldman Sachs und GE Capital vertrat und die Verhandlungen für Milliarden-Dollar-Geschäfte führte.
