Problem Theologin

Seit rund hundert Jahren ist es Frauen möglich, Theologie zu studieren. Die evangelischen Landeskirchen wurden mit der Existenz 'theologisch vorgebildeter Frauen' konfrontiert. Auf welche Weise sollten die Theologinnen in der Kirche arbeiten? Rund fünfzig Jahre wurde kontrovers darüber diskutiert, ob Theologinnen das Pfarramt zu übertragen sei. Eine Einigung konnte meist nicht erzielt werden, stattdessen wurden die theologisch strittigen Fragen, auf der Ebene des Rechts geregelt. Für die Evangelisch-Lutherische Kirche Thüringen und die Evangelische Kirche der Kirchenprovinz Sachsen wird dieser Prozess erstmals nachgezeichnet. Dabei liegt ein Fokus darauf, welche Gruppen innerhalb der beiden Landeskirchen und der überregionalen Kirchenbünde in diesem Prozess agierten.

[The Problem of Women Theologians. The Development of the Office of Female Theologian in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Thuringia and the Evangelical Church of the Church Province of Saxony]Women have been able to study theology for around a hundred years. The Protestant regional churches were confronted with the existence of 'theologically trained women'. How should female theologians work in the church? For around fifty years, there was a controversial debate about whether women theologians should be given the pastoral ministry. A agreement was usually not reached; instead, the theologically controversial issues were settled at a legal level. This process is traced for the first time for the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Thuringia and the Evangelical Church of the Church Province of Saxony. The focus is on which groups within the two regional churches and the supra-regional church confederations were involved in this process.
