Oftmals in ihren Heimatländern verfolgt, fliehen viele osteuropäische Roma auch in die Bundesrepublik, wo den "Nomaden der Neuzeit" nichts als Verachtung und Deklassierung entgegengebracht wird.Angesichts der deutschen Verbrechen gegen Sinti und Roma im Dritten Reich, ist es mir ein besonderes Anliegen, mich mit den Vorurteilen, die es gegen diese Minderheit gibt, zu beschäftigen, an das Vorgessen bzw das Verdrängen des Porrajmos zu erinnern und strukturelle Eigenarten des Antiziganismus hervorzuheben.Im folgenden soll der Versuch unternommen werden, zu klären, inwiefern kollektive Identitäten der Mehrheitsgesellschaft die Konstruktion eines "Anderen" bedingen, der in diesem Fall, durch Stereotypen bekräftigt, in der "Konstruktion des Zigeuners" gipfelt.
