Now, the book stands as his testament; the spiritual, faith-filled, as well as moral, social, and civic legacy that he envisioned and left for the benefit of all the men and women of the world.<BR><BR>HOPE is the first autobiography in history ever to be published by a Pope. Written over six years, this complete autobiography starts in the early years of the twentieth century, with Pope Francis's Italian roots and his ancestors' courageous migration to Latin America, continuing through his childhood, the enthusiasms and preoccupations of his youth, his vocation, adult life, and the whole of his papacy up to the present day.<BR><BR>In recounting his memories with intimate narrative force (not forgetting his own personal passions), Pope Francis deals unsparingly with some of the crucial moments of his papacy and writes candidly, fearlessly and prophetically about some of the most important and controversial questions of our present times: war and peace (including the conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East), migration, environmental crisis, social policy, the position of women, sexuality, technological developments, the future of the Church and of religion in general.<BR><BR>HOPE includes a wealth of revelations, anecdotes and illuminating thoughts. It is a thrilling and very human memoir, moving and sometimes funny, which represents the 'story of a life' and, at the same time, a touching moral and spiritual testament that will fascinate readers throughout the world and will be Pope Francis's legacy of hope for future generations.

Fratelli Tutti
In his third encyclical, Fratelli Tutti ("All Brothers"), Pope Francis reflects on a topic of great importance: human solidarity and friendship. Pope Francis first greeted the world with the words fratelli e sorelle -- "brothers and sisters" -- following his election to the papacy. In this encyclical, he continues to address all men and women as his brothers and sisters, calling us to consider what our common brotherhood requires of us.Pope Francis has shown repeatedly that he is dedicated to promoting friendship among all people. Fratelli Tutti follows his 2019 signing of the Document on Human Fraternity in Abu Dhabi. And at the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020, Pope Francis prayed for the salvation of all people in his extraordinary "Urbi et Orbi" address in an empty St. Peter's Square. The Holy Father calls us to live out our Christian duty to see the face of Jesus in our neighbors, recognizing everyone we meet as a brother or sister. In this encyclical, Pope Francis reminds us of our "(blessed) common belonging." By fostering a genuine affection for all, we reaffirm the dignity of every human person created in the image and likeness of God.

Fratelli Tutti
With the new encyclical, Francis calls for solidarity, personal and community responsibility in the face of difficult challenges such as the pandemic, which has shown that the world is more connected than ever.<BR>"Untimely conflicts break out that were believed to have been overcome. Stubborn, exaggerated, angry and aggressive nationalisms are reviving," said the Pope. For decades it would have looked like "that the world would have learned from so many wars and catastrophes and slowly move towards various forms of integration".In this encyclical, Pope Francis envisions 'renewed hope' from universal love, open to 'every man and woman'. The Pope dreams: A world must be possible in which people recognize each other as brothers and sisters, resolve conflicts in dialogue and leave no one behind on the path of development, but give everyone room to participate. That is "not a pure utopia. Francis calls his encyclical "FRATELLI TUTTI" a "humble contribution to reflection". But what drives him to do so weighs heavily: the global unequal distribution of resources and opportunities, the exclusion of entire classes and nations, an unbroken tendency to give preference to self-interests over solidarity. The Covid pandemic exposed it as a deceptive illusion for the Pope to "believe that we are all powerful and to forget that we are all in the same boat".<BR>

Lumen Fidei
Pope Francis’s first papal letter, reflecting on the nature of belief and the need to renew our faith for a bright future of charity and love for all<BR> <BR>“Precisely because it is linked to love, the light of faith is concretely placed at the service of justice, law and peace. Faith is born of an encounter with God’s primordial love, wherein the meaning and goodness of our life become evident; our life is illumined to the extent that it enters into the space opened by that love, to the extent that it becomes, in other words, a path and praxis leading to the fullness of love.”—Pope Francis<BR><BR>“The encyclical letter Lumen Fidei is the great monument of the Year of Faith declared by Pope Benedict XVI and brought to completion by Pope Francis,” writes Scott Hahn in his foreword. “It is a capstone of the year, but at the same time a milestone of a long road, a road we have only begun to travel: the road of the New Evangelization.” <BR><BR>Here is an illuminating work inviting all to lead a more spiritual and faith-based life, a reminder that with faith comes service, and with service to others and to God comes heaven on earth.

Against War: Building a Culture of Peace
From the beginning of his papacy, Pope Francis has made concern and action for peace and nonviolence one of his signature themes. From his travels to Iraq and other war-torn regions to his prophetic homilies in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, he has called the world to pursue a different path. Now, with the recent crisis in the Ukraine, his powerful voice is more prophetic and necessary than ever. "Faced with the images of death that come to us from Ukraine, it is difficult to hope. Yet there are seeds of hope. There are millions who do not aspire to war, who do not justify war . . . . Millions of young people who are asking us to do everything possible and seemingly impossible to stop the war, to stop all wars. It is in thinking first of all of them, of young people and children that we must repeat together: Never again war! And together we must commit ourselves to building a world that is more peaceful because it is more just, where it is peace that triumphs and not the folly of war; justice, and not the injustice of war; mutual forgiveness, and not the hatred that divides and makes us see the other, the person who is different from us, as an enemy." --Pope Francis
