The fact that I was a woman made it particularly difficult. I died for an unknown amount of time just before surgery, and I saw a glimpse of Heaven and met God. I spent the next years searching for understanding every way but God's way. During this time, I faced many more intense, traumatic experiences before coming to God. I felt the need to share my journey in hopes of helping others overcome obstacles and find Jesus.

She trained with Wolfgang Puck at Ma Maison, cooked at L'Orangerie, and, after seven short years, she became the head chef at Spago in 1986. She was one of the pioneer women running restaurants. After years of impressive work, Lisa opened Bambu, Malibu in 1993 as the Executive Chef. In 1995, 1996 and 1997, Lisa received awards for being one of the top 100 Chefs in America, recognizing her culinary excellence approaching the new millennium.
