Rebecca Solnit, Jahrgang 1961, ist eine der bedeutendsten Essayistinnen und Aktivistinnen der USA. Sie ist Herausgeberin des Magazins Harper's und schreibt regelmäßig Kolumnen für den Guardian. Für ihre Werke erhielt sie zahlreiche Preise und Auszeichnungen.
