They have recorded seven original studio albums, two EPs and twenty-four singles in their eleven years together. Each of the band's releases has charted on Japan's Oricon charts. Dir en grey made their earliest releases as an independent band with Free-Will, eventually signing a temporary deal with Warner Music Japan. Dir en grey's earliest releases were self-produced, however they worked with a producer, X Japan drummer Yoshiki Hayashi, for a series of five singles preceding Gauze. With the release of Macabre, Dir en grey began to release cooperatively between Firewall Division, a subsidiary of Free-Will, and Sony Music Entertainment Japan. In 2005, Dir en grey signed to the European label, Gan-Shin. The following year, they would release in the United States under Warcon Enterprises and Fontana Distribution, while being managed by Free-Will's American branch. On both foreign labels, the band's initial release was Withering to Death., and followed by The Marrow of a Bone. Their seventh album Uroboros is planned for both a European (Gan-Shin) and American release (The End Records).

Fox (Walken) and X (Dafoe) are corporate extraction specialists, half headhunters, half kidnappers, who specialise in helping R&D scientists relocate from corporations who would rather see them dead than working for their competitors. Fox is obsessed with one Hiroshi (played by Final Fantasy artist Yoshitaka Amano), a paradigm-shattering super-genius who is currently working for Maas, the corporation (Gibson employs the pre-WWII term zaibatsu) who crippled him. To that end, Fox and X employ Sandii (Argento), a "Shinjuku-girl", or small-time hustler/call girl, to help "persuade" Hiroshi to defect to Hosaka, another zaibatsu to which Fox is somewhat warmer.

The Fiat Sedici is a mini sport utility vehicle co- developed by Fiat and Suzuki mainly for the European market. It was introduced at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show, and is built at the Magyar Suzuki plant in Hungary. The expected production volume is 60,000 units per year, 1/3 to be sold by Fiat and 2/3 by Suzuki, badged as the SX4. The Design was handled by Giorgetto Giugiaro's Italdesign studio, and it is an alternative to mini multi-purpose vehicles (MPV), which have a more "boxy" appearance. Presented by Fiat in December 2005, it was the official car of the 2006 Winter Olympics. As the car is four wheel drive, it is considered a 4x4, and 4x4=16, hence the name: Sedici, pronounced "Say-dee-chi", which means "sixteen" in Italian. By pressing a button the driver can change between 4x2 and 4x4 modes. The car also has electronic stability control (ESC) on the options list and a diesel particulate filter (DPF) is a standard feature.

Emily Kngwarreye

Emily Kame Kngwarreye was an Australian Aboriginal artist from the Utopia community in the Northern Territory. She is one of the most prominent and successful artists in the history of contemporary Indigenous Australian art.Born in 1910, Kngwarreye did not take up painting seriously until she was nearly 80. She lived in the Anmatyerre language group at Alhalkere in the Utopia community, about 250 km north east of Alice Springs. For much of her later life she was mostly known, along with the rest of this community, for her batik work. Acrylic paintings were introduced to Utopia in 1988-89 by Rodney Gooch and others of the Central Australian Aboriginal Media Association. An exhibition of some of the paintings of these artists' work organised by CAAMA was held called "A Summer Project", where Kngwarreye's work got immediate attention from critics. The attention she received coincided with the worldwide art boom that occurred at this time.

Mitsubishi RPM 7000

The Mitsubishi RPM 7000 is a concept car designed by the Cypress, California Design Studio of Mitsubishi Motors and exhibited at the 2001 North American International Auto Show. Displayed alongside the Mitsubishi ASX, the two vehicles represented the company's vision for sporty, stylish crossover SUVs. However, while the ASX defined Mitsubishi's production plans, the RPM 7000 was a more radical styling exercise and an overt celebration of the company's motorsport heritage. The World Rally Championship-winning Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution and the Dakar Rally-winning Mitsubishi Pajero provided the engine and drivetrain, while chief stylist Mike Desmond acknowledged the influence of Formula One in the "nosecone" front grille and hood. Elements of rallying and GT racing were also incorporated. Other unusual elements included the teardrop silhouette, side exit exhaust pipe, and the suicide doors on the passenger side only. Although it was speculated that the RPM could make it to production within two years of its exhibition, these rumours proved unfounded.
